
James Gangl
Actor. Writer. Purveyor of Hilarity.
James Gangl won the Ed Mirvish Award for Entrepreneurship and a Canadian Comedy Award for Best One Person Show for his first solo show, Sex, Religion & Other Hang-ups. He has since written three excellent solos shows, and one terrible one. James is a Moth storyslam winner and performed at the Moth Grand Slam in Los Angeles. James is honoured to work with many talented artists on their solo projects and through his Page to Stage series of workshops.
James’ recent TV credits include Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), Jane (Apple TV+), and Dino Dec (Amazon Prime). James has also written for some of your kid’s favourite TV shows including Odd Squad, the 2-time Daytime Emmy Award Winner for Best Children’s Show.
When James isn’t writing and performing, he is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in private practice at James Gangl Therapy.
